SUMMARY:Bolinas Lagoon and Marin Coast Tour
DESCRIPTION:Well-known to nature lovers\, the Marin coast is one of the Bay Area’s natural and cultural treasures. This day trip to the secluded village of Bolinas will demonstrate why: the soaring Bolinas Ridge and the pristine Pacific coastline\, thick coastal woodlands and the lagoon itself\, with Osprey\, harriers\, terns\, shorebirds\, ducks and grebes swimming and flying over the marshes. After walking a riparian trail alive with songbirds and noting the heron rookery near the village\, we’ll stop for lunch at the Coastal Café. Later we’ll drop by noted local artist Keith Hansen’s studio filled with extraordinary bird paintings. Low to moderate amounts of walking\, level terrain. Good nature and landscape photography opportunities.
