Nov. 29, 9am-4pm\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">This fall tour begins at the Raptor Center at UC Davis, where we\u2019ll view Great Horned Owls, Golden Eagles, accipiters and several species of hawks. At nearby Putah Creek we\u2019ll search for Red-tails, Western bluebirds, warblers, kinglets, finches and blackbirds. Heading west to Winters, we\u2019ll lunch at a local diner. Then it\u2019s off to Lake Solano where birds include many kinds of ducks (including mergansers and Wood ducks), woodpeckers and songbirds. Along the lake shore we\u2019ll search for elusive Phainopeplas and Pygmy owls. Finally we head up to dramatic Lake Berryessa for White-throated swifts, raptors and wrens, among others. This is an exciting tour with a constantly changing landscape, wonderful scenery and many birds.
