This West Marin day trip to the secluded village of Bolinas will demonstrate why: the soaring Bolinas Ridge and the pristine Pacific coastline, thick coastal woodlands and the lagoon itself, with Osprey, terns, shorebirds, ducks and grebes swimming and flying over the marshes. After hiking a riparian trail and noting the heron rookery near the village, we\u2019ll stop for lunch at the Coastal Caf\u00e9. In the afternoon we\u2019ll drop by noted local artist Keith Hansen\u2019s studio filled with extraordinary bird paintings. Low to moderate amounts of walking, level terrain.
