In the fall and winter, it is home and hunting ground to many varieties of raptors, such as Red-tailed hawks, Golden eagles, Northern Harriers, Kites \u00a0and Kestrels. Owls are also partial to these endless acres of grasslands, including the Great Horned, Barn, Burrowing and Short-eared. Singing Western meadowlarks and Loggerhead shrikes add to the exciting possibilities on this late fall morning.
